You have not provided any diagnostic information with which troubleshooting can occur.

Pull the #1 plug wire, put a spark plug in it, ground it, and crank. Do you have spark? That will tell us quite a bit right there.

When you pull the plug, is it wet with fuel?

best thing to do when faced with a car wont start issue is rule out the major areas needed for an engine to run. An internal combustion gasoline engine needs:

  • Compression
  • fuel (in our case, at the proper pressure)
  • air
  • spark (in the correct time, and at the correct temp)

As the previos poster mentioned, you can rule out spark that way. Compression and fuel are gonna need gauges to test. You can cheat a little to see if you have fuel pressure by starting to loosen one of the fuel fittings a little and see if you get some fuel spray (this can be dangerous though, I dont recommend unless you have at least a clue what your doing). Compression really needs a gauge, but they arent that expensive. If you rule all of those out then...well the laws of physics are no longer in force in your location...and you need to move away from there.

If he has spark, he will also have the ECU command for the injectors.

thanks guys. ok, i pulled out the #1 sparker and then tried to start the engine. i watched the plug... it didnt spark. as you can imagine, the engine skipped a beat every 6 "beats". i know this was b/c the spark plug was gone... just observing.

can anyone tell me what this means? i am learning here! thanks people...

EDIT: i just relaized i didnt do anything to ground it. question: where on the spark plug should i attach the ground wire? thanks again.

Sorry, but you cant get out of here with a responce like that...we now know the outcome...what was the problem?

hah... ok. no i wasnt out of gas. the FUSE WAS MISSING!

i checked all fuses before i posted here, but since there was no fuse to check, i simply skipped right over. as you may know, the ignition fuse (IGN) was missing. this explains why the spark plug didnt spark when i pulled it out.

so simple!
