I am of need of assissantance of the SM gang. My 86.5's fuel pump stopped working two days ago. So far i have checked all my relays and have found i have something not right. I have power at the 7.5 EFI fuse and the constant 12volts at the EFI RELAY(relay works). Heres my problem, the wire that "activates" the relay is not getting power.:1zhelp: According to my Haynes manual my ignition switch is good, so that is not it. So...i jumped the two terminals where the relay should and car starts, but it "lopes". I only did this for 2 to 3 sec. as not to hurt anything. The dianostics box jumper doesn't work either(FP and B+). My solenoid resister is bad as tested(problem maybe?) Also, there is a little black box about 3/8in by 3/8in with two wires coming out of it, what is it?. The two wires are black and blue. This box is located under the coil on the driver's side fender well. One thing keeps coming my mind and dad's...can toyota's great anti-theft feature be actiong up? I cant figure it out, i have had the car a year now and the alarm never went off. When i open the hatch the "door open" light doesn't activate so maybe thats why i can't reset my alarm.(previous owner told me this). Lastly, i lost the link to the TRSM page.:3d_frown: Thanx, Shelby

Can anyone help? Every time i ask for help its like bad to help Killer. Now, if anyone would read my first post, the wire that "activates" the EFI MAIN relay has no power.(the one coming from the ecu.) So if that dont kick the relay, the circuit opening relay wont work and then the fuel pump relay wont work either.

Well today my friend imformed me that the ecu is on its way out. The check engine light doesnt come on until 5 to 10 minutes after car is shut down. Just for sh*ts and giggles i jumped the two prongs where the ecu turns on the EFI RELAY on and sure enough the fires up and runs great.:runaway: :dunno: I can drive it like this until i recieve my new ecu right? :naughty: That'd be nice. This don't matter to much i guess i'm getting a BUILT n/a 7m soon.:evil2:
