Can someone please help me figure out this song?

Man i heard it over and over again but i never can catch the title. It's a 80s song for sure and i remember even seeing the video a while back. Anyway it goes something along the lines of
"I can feel you, you heart leave me searching for some"... or something like that
then it finishes off the chorus with "Summer had gone".
I searched for god knows how long and i cannot find it. however i do remember a band from the 90s covered it, and they were a one hit wonder. that video had a blonde front man, very young playing the piano and such and singing. Anyone have any ideas? its a really good song and this is driving me nuts.
