Hello,
I recently found my camshaft seals to be leaking and causing a mess.

So, I went to my local toyota dealer and there appears to be two different camshaft seals.

They were unable to tell me which one is the correct one for my car even when provided the VIN. I have a 91 supra. 7mgte.
There were two part numbers with same year and availability but with different manufacturers notes. Does anyone know which is the correct seal and why? Part numbers and notes listed below.

first is part number
90311-35017
manufacturer note: NOK

second is part number
90311 - 35040
manufacturer note: ARS

Maybe he just pulled up the wrong things? IDK

According to this sticky(http://www.supramania.com/forums/content.php?132-The-Toyota-Common-part-number-sticky) it is the first, anyone know what is up with what the guy at toyota said?

90311-35017 is GE and GTE
90311-35008 (replaced by 90311-35040) is GTE only

At least from that chart. Interesting....

I see, thanks for that breakdown! In my laziness last night I only looked at the first chart.
So would it be safe to assume either one would work? I suppose I will go for the GTE only as JetJock stated.
It doesn't make sense why they would have two different cam seals for GTE/GE, with one being exclusive to the GTE. Implying that there must be some sort of difference.
