build your own set of plug wire's?

they need ot be longer and have longer tube's on them about 2 inc's more

that is why i am lookign at build your own

Not sure. I think you can buy Moroso wire in lengths and just cut to fit, then they sell the wire connector ends separately.. But I haven't looked into it at all... I vaguely remember something like that though.

if you get the kit it should come with lengths of wire, the boots and connectors and a crimp tool of some sort

I was just looking for custom wires and found that Magnecore should be able to help.

From their website:
"Any part of a Magnecor ignition wire can be purchased separately. Loose ignition cable (any type), boots, terminals, professional quality crimp tools, numbering sleeves and wire separator looms are available for installers preferring to assemble ignition wires in their own workshop and at the race track. No minimum quantity is required. However, please remember the Magnecor USA factory and the Australian and UK importer/distributors can supply custom tailored complete wires at short notice."

So either buy the parts and make your own or just tell them what you need and they can make a custom set. If you talk to them about it let me know what you find out.

haha, we attempted to make our own plug wires some years ago, just being retarded. using solid copper core and splicing up an old set of wires. we probably got 3 wires finished before we gave up

ive made two set's of wire's using the stock stuff, i didn't know they had aftermarket plug boots that could be purchased, i might look into this aswell and make my self a set of 8mm wires.. im currently running old stock 7mm, it was free so i didn't care to much but my car has a miss and it's buggin me, i think it's a dirty coil pack connection ....

There is an automotive engineering performance shop, here in Clearwater. They are a speed shop. They could get the parts you need to do it. They are a national chain I think, look them up. If there is not a local one I know they can do a phone order and ship it.

I just ordered the parts to make my own plug wires from www.performancecenter.com. I ordered Taylor's Spiro-Core Pro, distributor boots w/contacts and a package of 50 straight plug connectors. I'll be reusing the boots from the dirt cheap wire set I've got on right now as I couldn't find anywhere that sold the sealing boots. With shipping I think I spent about $50.

BTW, I already have crimps for the tips.
