Hey guys, so i deleted my EGR on my rebuild. I am wondering to those how have done that, what did you use to get rid of the BSV? I know a lot of ppl just plug the hole..but with what?

Second. can some one please clarify what the VSVs do and if they are needed??

Thanks!

VSVs are for the canister.

BSV valve can get any plug but it is BSPT, British Pipe Thread. NPT is different. If you know a good TIG welder, they can plug it and weld it shut.

I just stuck a spare temp sensor in the hole. Not the best looking but will work. You might be able to drill it over and tap it to a larger npt thread then get an earls plug for it.

Hahaha BVSV = Bimetalic vacuum switching valve (switched on by temperature), VSV= vacuum switching valve (switched on by power and ground being applied). I am using a signal from my electric fan temp switch to turn on a vsv to run through the canister.

One of those vsv's is a fuel pressure up vsv so you would want to have it I would figure, not sure what difference it would make to run straight manifold vacuum to it. If you dont have an egr that one is not needed then.
