Broken Oil Pickup Bolt HELP!

Hey sorry to ask this question.

Basically my 7M is in the garage I have been slowly rebuilding (school/work full time makes it hard).

I broke the 12mm head 8x 1.25 short bolt at the base of the pump. It was about 20 degrees in the garage and I suppose that caused an issue for my torque wrench.

SO

I just would like some suggestions. My racing engine shop said anywhere from 50-100 bux, and another shop said 20-80.

I bought bolt extractors, grabits, and whatever else I thought would work to no avail.

I don't want to damage the block so I am really worried.

(I have experience with taps and helicoils, but like I said I do not want to damage the block)

grind a slot in it if you can reach it with a dremel cut off but then use an impact screwdriver

If the bolt broke from over-tightening, extractors should work, no problem.
If the bolt broke from cross-threding (or bottoming out), your SOL, and need to drill and tap the block to a larger size, and use a larger bolt, or an insert.
