Bring my 7mgte back to life!!!

I recently bought a Turbo Auto, and it has 200K on it.... It feels a little sluggish and tired!:icon_conf

I want to bring the 7m back to life...

So far i changed the oil, flushed the radiator, changed the tranni fluid, new thermo, new radiator, new wastegate, and soon to be new AFM.

What else do you guy's think i should do or change for more power/ reliability???

This is just my daily driver so i dont want to do anything too major, My real love is waiting for a 1JZ clip...:evil2:

You should change your air filter, inspect the belts, change the fuel fitler, and clean out your intercooler pipes(because most likely you will have a little oil in them).

Check your timing. Spark timing or belt timing could be off.

diff fluid! (because it's vary often overlooked), Test for boost leaks, replace head bolts w/ studs and apply torque, replace cat, test o2 sensor, check for codes just incase.

Yeah... I need to check the codes, the check engine light is on, but i think it' because of the bad AFM... How would i do this???
I went to auto zone for a free diagnosis but they only check 96 and up!

The benefits of Seafoam are debatable.

Also, it's good to see that you are doing all of the maintenance items first, before performance. :bigthumb:

Make sure the car is mechanically sound, and there aren't any problems, then I would put an intake & exhaust on, maybe an MBC to turn up the boost a little bit (I would recommend 9-10psi at the most)...that should make you happy for a while.

But how do you know what the code is???

I just stick a paper clip into the two terminals and i automatically know what is wrong... Somethings missing!!!:1zhelp:

When you insert the paper clip into the two proper terminals, make sure the key is in the ON position, and count the blinks of the check engine light.

And about seafoam...some say it works good, some say it offers no benefit at all, other than filling your neighborhood with smoke.
