Right guys just got my car back from MOT today. In the last couple of days the brake warning light has illuminated, the one that tells you you have left the handbrake on. The car got an advisory on the MOT. RBT Front brake Imbalance: 20% with this message; Your vehicle has only just met the front brake imbalance requirements.

The car feels fine, does not pull under braking and stops as it should. Does this message refer to an imbalance between the front wheels or between the front and rears. Also could this be down to pads. If so do the pads have wear indicators built in? How do you reset the light. I have checked all the obvious, fluid is fine and its not the handbrake switch light.

Any ideas? Tommorow I was going to fit new pads jusyt to be on the safe side.

there is a relay in the back by the rear brake light, these go on the fritz alot. If any water gets in there they can be a problem. Mine did the same thing, and after hardwiring this part, it went away.
