Can we use the coolant overflow bottles that have the feed on the bottom of the cans/reservoirs? (I believe that's how the MKIVs are set-up?)
We have the type that has a top feed with a tube going towards the bottom for the system to suck the coolant back when it cools down; but is it ok to just feed it in the bottom and just have a top outlet for overfill purge. I see that the MKIVs can also use our type of reservoir when they do relocations. I had to relocate mine and use a smaller reservoir when I installed my FFI and FFIM. Being able to use a bottom fed bottle will open much more options for reservoirs.
Would anyone know by any chance which Toyota reservoir Greddy uses in their intercooler kits? I saw one for the Subaru sti, and it would have been perfect for my application, the guy told me greddy uses Toyota reservoirs but didn't know which one. I'm using one of those WeaponR bottles but I expect it to become to small for the volume my new set-up will move (Koyo rad)
Thanks
