boosting when cold

Hey guys odd thing but my bov is definitely making noise and I can hear the turbo spooling but my gauge isn't registering any boost, is this normal when cold. The closest it gets is to the zero from -21 in vacuum. Any advice?

Sounds like a possible boost leak. check for stored codes.

Also its not very good to boost on a cold engine. Wait the 10 min till it warms up.

I think the gauge might be screwed up. It looked like it hit maybe one psi and I couldn't keep the rear tires from spinning. It is wet out but I don't think that it would achieve that without boost. This is a 2jz swap btw. The snow is definitely not helping anything here
