Alright so I recently did a boost leak test at about 15psi I only run about 12psi but just to be on the safe side. So I found a couple leaks in my ic piping and what not.

but some wierd things happend aswell like air was coming out of my dipstick hole and oil was appearing in my spark plug area is this normal or is something really wrong.

thanks
Michael

Oh and the boost leak tester was placed on the turbo intake.

My guess bad rings or something but I'm not entirely sure.

Oil in the spark plug holes? Possibly a gasket leak above the sparks in the valve cover. I had my older Monte Carlo do that, and replacing the gaskets all around did the trick. Have you replaced yours yet?

Ok but what would cause air to come through the dipstick and if I take my oil cap off air coming through there as well is this common or not at all.

thanks

did you remove the pre turbo intake hose that has the pcv line attached to it? (i hope). If you didnt and just removed the afm or airfilter your pushing air into the crank through the valve cover ports (VERY BAD for your seals).

id do a comp. test and leak down test for peace of mind.

edit: saw you put it strait on the turbo, cap the tb orfice tube that connects the valve covers to the tb. If the air is still coming out, im betting rings. I dont know how much blowby under this circumstance is normal for a cold motor, but 15 psi should be cake walk for warm/hot motor.
