does the boost gauge increase voltage as the boost increase on the gauge?

reason i ask is because i had a idea a while back which i had seen before of mounting the windshield washers to spray water on the intercooler but you had to hold down the washer button. and i was wondering if there was any way to wire in the washer motors to spray when when boost comes on via the boost gauge?

any thoughts?

well because you dont always boost at wot. i would like it to come on when you boost. that doesnt mean you have have to have your foot to the floor in which case that could work if you just used a clutch start switch or something similar for that purpose. what i am talking about is if the boost gauge starts boosting(for the voltage to power the washer motor) like 0psi+ and the washers start squirting at the intercooler.

Just put a meter on it and blow in the sensor's port. ;)

I'd go with something adjustable though. As often as that sprayer's going to be coming on you're going to need a second gas tank to make it across town..... Seriously though, 'on' for anything after ambient seems excessive given the only time you're going to be in that range for any length of time is when you're crawling up a hill behind a slower vehicle.

Take alcohol, rub it on your skin, and now tell me if that area is colder or warmer...

Anyway, you could use a simple pressure switch that turns on at a certain PSI (it's how old school tuning was done with extra injectors and such)
