And no, before you get the wrong idea, this isnt about black market organs ;)

The two front wings on my '88 really need to be replaced - some complete bastard was trying to break into the car the other day and before giving up, kicked the passenger wing at the bottom, which just disintegrated :(

I now drive around with a 4" hole in the bottom right of the passenger side wing, subsequently, it looks like shite.

I've found a local bodyshop that looks like a pro place, (ie, run by an old guy who takes pride in his work, workshops look like proper workshops rather than a clinic etc) and they said they'd get back to me with a quote for supplied bare wings, sprayed in the colour of my choice for me to put on.

From what i understand, its a relatively simple bolt on job, but the TSRM doesnt cover the replacement of it, unless its in a special bodywork manual that i havent discovered yet.

Has anyone else here had to replace the front wing/wings and did they do it themselves or did you get a shop to do it?

Cheers and TIA :)

Great fenders/wings!!!! Ok here is the low down.... You have like 5 or so bolts on the top of the wing!!! One bolt kinda behind the door, I beleive 2 bolts on the bottom (pull off your little plastic side wing trim piece). You have two nuts attached too two kinda log post bolts that hold the wing up against front of the car... Best to pull inner wing that way you can see all bolts and nuts................... Really thats it!!! When taking the wing off pull out by the door and then pull back to get off the posts.....................Hope I helped, anyone correct me if I missed something..........................:icon_bigg

If you need anything else happy to help!!! Tons of fenders/wings laying around here from other members so post up in wanted section if you need some. And make sure if you are only painting the wings make sure the shop is going to give you a color match guarantee..........

I'm in the UK - so shipping on them would be more than buying them here probably, but i'll wait for the body shop to get back to me. I need the fender trim pieces from an 89+ as well seeing as the metal in the ones i have has distorted and warped the plastic, so it looks like poo...

I tell you what Kai!!! I would be willing to make you a deal..... You being in england and all might be able to track me down something I have been looking for for a while!!!!!

My dad has a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine Series 2!!!! I have been looking for replacement taillight lenses for this car for him for a while. The lenses come in 2 pieces uppers and lowers!!! All I have ever been able to find are the lowers no uppers. Since you live in England mabey you might have better luck!!! I would be willing to trade you a complete 89+ molding set for a set of the rear alpine lenses. I will even pay shipping!!!!! PM me if you are interested and we can work out the detail's........................

Hmm okay - it appears i can indeed get those taillight lenses for you. What colour moulding set have you got and what clips does it come with?

According to trademotion, the front fenders work out to about $240 or so, which is £115 - kind of okay pricing wise....anyone else able to get them cheaper?
