So, 89 Turbo. about a week ago, I noticed, while driving, that all my gauges went out and the A/C controller was out. Assumed it was a fuse...and it was. Replaced it. Lasted 3 days and blew again. So this time I tear the dash out to try to find a problem. Prior owners had installed a hidden radar detector. Found those wires under the dash to be a major cluster @#$%. Ripped all that shit out, replaced the fuse...good to go...till yesterday. I have had the top off and windows down for 2 weeks. It was about to rain while at work last night, so I go to put the top on, let the windows up and thats when I find out that that fuse is inline with the power windows as well as the gauges and A/C controller. Now, as soon as I put a new fuse in, it blows instantly. Everything else appears to be working on the car, except the front, drivers side marker, which I assume is a blown bulb. I don't have a good electrical diagram of my car. I found some for 79's to 86's and then I found some 92's, but they don't show the power windows on the same circuit as the gauges. Can anyone point me in the right place? A diagram of these circuits and a little knowledge of how to trace the problem and fix it would be great.
