I am in the process of blocking off my egr. It is ugly to look at, cleans up the engine bay a bit, and from what I hear it is not needed. My friend and his friends have blocked off their egrs in the past and have had no problems. There is a lot of pros an cons and I heard it can cause problems but I don't know what. I would just like to hear some opinions on it. Thanks

This subject has been beat to death. The short answer: You do not want to remove the EGR...your friends have a problem and don't even know it. Frankly, it's a stupid thing to do.

If you want to know more, use the search feature...for example:

BTW - removing engine parts, vac lines, etc in an effort to "clean up the engine bay" is the worst possible reason for doing such a thing. You are asking for problems.
