Hey nhave any of you guys tried to run a 2j ecu on a 1j harness? Basically I need to know how it fires the injectors. If lets say I have my 1j harness where the injector signals are spliced together in pairs and I want to run a 2jz ecu would I have to break the pairs up into seperate signals or would it fire all 6 just fine using the 1,2,3 outputs fromt he 2j ecu? Does the 2j fire the injector once per cycle or something? I find that tough to believe.

I need driect experiences on this one no conjecture please.

Thanks fellas.

The oem 2JZ ecu will cut your redline down.
The oem 2JZ ecu will look for a maf if its the US version.
The oem 2JZ ecu will need to be tuned with a piggy back it will think it haves larger injectors with more air flow and with more displacement.

You will have to remap your 1jz harness and ECU connector for the 2JZ ECU
as far as sequential and batch fire i dont know if they are different but from my memory they are the same they pretty much had the same signals.

The only reason i would goto a jdm 2JZ ecu for any reason is because I built my 1jz into a 1.5jz in theory with the jdm ecu and jdm injectors & 2jz cams everything would pretty much be the same so you wouldnt need the AFC.
