Bad Rod Bearing?

Doesn't sound like rod knock to me. Maybe the cams are out of spec? Kinda sounds like they are scraping.

Check the tensioner pulleys. Sounds like the bearings in one of them went bad. Take the belts off and make sure everything spins freely. Check the clutch on the a/c compressor. The pulley should spin freely, and you should be able to turn the center part by hand. If all the accessories and tensioners turn freely, check the tensioner on the timing belt.
