I have an 89' Supra with a 1jz swap with the capacitors replaced about a year ago. Click the pictures for larger shots. I drove the car home one time and tried to start it up the next week with it not firing on cylinders 3 & 4. Plugs are good, coil packs are good, and the resistor are all good. Obviously I cant drive it now but am curious after pulling off the ecu if this black part next to these two capacitors is bad and possibly causing the issue? I don't think I can just replace that part? The other shot is of a bulged resistor testing at .6 in stead of .43, wouldn't think that would cause it though. Any thoughts? Get another 1jz ecu? Someone local I can test one?
Thanks

not if you got it fixed or not. but i would reach out to Arron at Driftmotion. since they repair JZ ecu's often he may have some further insight on these potential issues. over all he may have you send it in to be checked but the car is sitting anyways might as well see if the ECU is the issue and/or rule it out.

no one local you know with an ECU you can test?
