Bad cat

Does anyone have any ideas on clearing...(punching) the cat. My cat is clogged and making my car run like crap. Miss firing and lossof power. I have my exhaust dropped after my cat and I just dont know how to go about clearing out the inside of the cat. Any info would be helpful.

Well it should be replaced, but since you asked, all you have to do is punch it out with a screwdriver, it breaks pretty easily.

You think a clogged cat causes a misfire and loss of power? A plugged exhaust will stall. You can watch it on a vacuum guage. It will drop to zero. Then you know it is clogged and needs to be replaced. If you get caught hollowing out a cat, the fine can be $5000, just so you know.
