AVC-R boost controller for 7mgte?

Just want to know before I spend the money on it if the apexi avc-r controller is goona be a good unit to run on my 7mgte. From what I have read the avcr is harder to work but one of the best and I'm not worried about how hard it is to work because I can figure that out over time. I guess I'm just looking for some good opinions from people that work with 7ms

have you done preventative mods to allow you to turn up the boost first of all?

I had one for mine, It has more features than I would ever need, but I wasn't forced to set them up, I was able to easily setup the basic features and nothing else. I bought it as I was planning on eventually using the advanced features but never go there.

So to use it as a simple boost controller it is easy

That's all I can think of right now...I'm pretty sure for the most part I have everything needed to turn up boost but I won't do that myself it will all get done when it gets tuned......I just do not want to buy a boost controller and find out its the one 7m tuners hate to use. Haha
