Avalon Ignitor

Will the ignitor from a 96 avalon work with my 1jz-gte engine? Or if you know, will any others work with it? Need answers asap! Thanks

1995 Avalon, or 1993-98 Supra Turbo.

They are plug in, and are what Toyota lists for the 1JZ-GTE as a supersession. If you were in Japan, went into Toyota and ordered an igniter for your car, it is what you'd leave with. They also list a new bracket for it as well though, so my guess is it won't bolt up 100% the way the original one does, might have to modify the bracket.

1996 Avalon igniter WILL NOT work. It is wasted spark. Only 1995.

Edit: I know they had avalons available domestically, but is the igniter from a jdm model or usdm?

Jeff can you confirm if the domestic igniter would be the same? I dont know dick all about avalons.
