Hi There Guys

I´am putting down roughly 400hp, and i want to monitor my oil temperature in the transmission. Which one is the outlet on the transmission, the one that goes into the oilcooler, or the one going in to the radiator.

I know that i shouldn´t push the transmission throug gearshift, but what else can i do to make it last a little longer? Fitting a big ass cooler, would that help? I´am not prepared to spend 1000 of dollars, because auto transmissions is laying on every corner here in denmark. But cheap upgrade, that would make i last a little longer.

Thanks Guys

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
Use synthetic oil and filter it, preferably with a bypass depth filter. If not use a full flow filter, a real one made for hydraulics. You can mount the temp sensor at the filter.

That and keeping the fluid cool will go a long way towards keeping the tranny happy. Change the fluid every 20,000 km. With a filter and synthetic all that would be needed is a pan drain.

I use a Wix 51622 to filter the auto fluid on my vehicles, all you need is a standard ford oil filter block, and good lines and hose. I will also be using this same filter and a small cooler on my power steering soon when I replace the rack, use poly bushings and a new pump. I like to do things once. I also always use a large cooler on anything I own thats auto.
