The metal plate between the body of the car and a five speed shifter the bolts do not line up on an automatic car. What was people's work around for this? I was going to try double sided foam tape for a temp solution. I didn't do the swap but changed gear shifter and discovered it this way. The auto swap guides I looked at didn't address this? Couple pics below.
