I've been so busy enjoying the boost on my finished swap, that I just noticed last night that my headlights don't auto-shut off and the radio does not stay on when I remove the key (but haven't opened the door).

Strange thing happened at work the other day... I locked the doors while the key was still in the ignition (accessory mode, with the car off). I had not been able to do that in any of my other Sups.

Anyone else have a similar issue? Did someone disable something, bad integration relay, fuse? I did a brief search, but I guess I'll ned to dig into the TRSM.

TIA!

Sorry.. it's a '91T auto, now a 2JZ 5-speed. Did not swap the dash/body harnesses and removed an aftermarket alarm. The factory one is there, but appears disabled. I did patch the wiring back up, where it'd been cut/used for the alarm.

No turbo timer.

On my 87T, the radio would stay on untill a door was opened. Same w/the headlights, they'd shut off but stay in the up position. The wife's MKIV does the same (except for the pop-up headlights ;-).

I've not finished putting the underside dash panels on, since I still want to enable the neutral start/clutch switch and also wire up the A/C amplifier. So, figured that I could take care of this current issue as well, along with the other wiring work.

Once everything's solid, I will install another aftermarket alarm that has a turbo-timer feature.

The 87 and 88 had different electrical features relating to the doors, compared to later cars. The factory repair manual and EWD for the year should be checked.

And Jeff Langes page on the yearly updates
