A340E to W58. I bought a clutch kit and it came with 1 big clip for the throwout bearing/fork. The TSRM shows two small clips holding them together and for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how this single clip holds them together.

There are no CLIPS in a W58 clutch kit. ( I just bought one from Exedy) You are either confused as to the tranny you have or the clutch kit you bought. Which is it?

Well it is a W58. It came out of an 87 NA car. It had a clip on it beforehand (i watched my friend remove it). I actually work at Exedy (but my plant makes torque convertors :nono:) It just got off the phone with advance and they confirmed it's for a 1989 Supra W58.

I will tell you from first hand experience that clip is a bitch. I had to bend it so it would hold onto the clutch fork. I don't remember if there was one or two but I remember it being a PITA.

Oh wait I do remember now. I ended up reusing the old clips and tossed the new one back in the box. I also ordered a Southbend clutch if that helps at all.

^^^^^Oh that little rectangluar copper-ish fork clip? I thought he was referring to something related to the release bearing itself.
