well im at the hospital right now. My leg got messed up at work. I fell into the pit while changing the oil and cut a huge chunk of my leg off. I have a gash about 3" long and 1.5" deep and 1" wide. I'm sittin in the waiting room with nothing better to do. So i am surfing SM. Lol. The waits in these places suck. The woman next to me had a stroke and they made her sit there for like 20 mins before they took her in. I hope i dont get stitches. O well. Bad news is that i cant drive my car. I cut it on my clutch leg. O well. Back to waiting.

p.s. - i love my phone!

Sorry about the news, but don't give up on driving just yet. I drove an hour and a half home with a dislocated right shoulder last fall after a little hunting accident (read falling out of my deer stand, but that's another story). Reaching over to shift with my left arm was a bitch but I made it, and since that was my only car I drove it like that for the next week in a sling. :naughty:

Well not 1.5. I exaggerated a little. On second look its maybe an 1" deep. Lol. Everyone exaggerates when they go to the hospital. By tomorrow itll be something like, an alligator had a hold of my leg and i had to beat him off of my leg with a straw, a paper clip, and styrofoam cup. Macguiver style. Lol. But yea. Im still not sure on stitches or staples (the sound of that makes my stomach turn.) it is about an inch wide so theres really nothing they can stitch or staple. And i just realized that i have a lot of fat in my leg. I'll see if i can get them to scoop some out while there in there. Lol. Hopefully no muscle damage or anything. It doesnt hurt. The tape holding the gauze that is pulling my leg hair hurts more than the gash.

and im still waiting in the waiting room.

Pics will come lol. I have one of just the bandage. But i will sneak one in when hes putting the stitches or staples in. I have an LG VX9800. Still waitin in here. Nnot much happenin. My dad is here now but nothin else.

it doesnt hurt because you cut the nerves. Like i did to my finger, congrats i want pics!

It's kinda amusing when it doesn't hurt, isnt it? haha

I cut the right side of my right wrist when a piece of glass shattered, and the cut went to the bone. The cut was about 1/2 wide, but it was only gapping. IOW it was a clean cut, no chunks out. I got 8 stitches, 3 inside, 5 outside. lol When i was waiting, i was pushin on it, watchin the fat smush around, and my sister got a picture. heh

Good luck with healing, sucks you cant drive. Ive heard conflicting stories on whether stiches or staples hurt more. Either way the numbing is the worst part. After that its fun again.

Well. For clarification. Staples hurt more because they dont numb it. Straight from the doctor. I just asked him. I have a REALLY good picture for u all. Im getting stitches thank god.

edit - meant to type staples. They were cleaning the gash when i was typing that.

and the title will need to be changed to not for people with a weak stomach.
