Arp main stud kit?

I never undone bolts with it and not as a hammer. I take my time, I will set it to what I need to torque too, put it down, pick up when ready, torque and then back all the way down. Snap-On only goes down to 1.5ft/lbs, no zero, so I back it down all the way to that level. Torquing a head, I use a half inch rachet to turn the nut or bolt partially loose and then pull with the torque wrench again.

I've seen you post this a couple of times... mind explaining the reasoning behind it?

My "experience" is when I bought my New Block from Toyota we measured the Main tunnels with the factory hardware installed then changed it to ARP Studs and remeasured, there was 0 difference so we DIDN'T Line bore/hone it.

While each fastener works slightly differently the end result "Should" be the same achieving the exact same "Crush" on the bearing shells so you end up with the correct clearences, only time I see that ever changing is if the Install instructions aren't followed and some genius decides to change the Tq Setting...

I have found over time that main caps with a tighter interference fit, tend to move less often than looser main caps. I tend to aline bore and aline hone often however because many times I am installing billet main caps, or I am using non-select fit bearings and want all the main bearing housing holes a specific "same" size. It is always good to check before and after arp main stud installation.

Also i got my clevet bearings in yesterday and yes they were re boxed ndc bearings witch is great news to me ( I thank you all for the great info). Also i will have pics of all on my build up tomorrow. Again thank you to everyone for your help.

Yes, of course. This is what IJ and I have been saying. You have to check before you install and after you install the ARP.
