See, that's the difference between me and you. I have installed ARP head bolts before (on more than a supra) and you haven't. I KNOW they are 12pt 1/2" size socket NOT 14mm 6pt NOT 14mm 12pt NOT 13mm 6pt NOT 13mm 12pt.

The ONLY size socket that fits ARP head bolts on a MK3 supra is 1/2" 12 pt 3/8" drive socket. I'll bet the title of my car on this fact. Anyone care to bet with me? I could use another supra. Come on down to my shop, I'll show you on my car what size they are and then I'll give you a ride home in my new supra.....

And you can come out to AZ and I'll show you a set that's 14mm 12 point.

Just because you got a 1/2" 12 point does not make them all that way...In fact, I've never seem that size for a Supra. And 14mm = 0.5512 inch ;)

Yeah well guess what, mine are 1/2" 12 point. Don't know what to tell you. And I've installed many sets of ARP head bolts and studs on other jap cars and they were all standard sized nuts or bolt heads. In fact, I've never seen metric ARP bolt heads or nuts. So I guess we all learn something new.....

The *bolts* are 1/2" 12pt exactly as frank says. I personally have installed them so I have verified this.

The *studs* use a larger size (9/16" to be exact) but a 14mm which is only a hair smaller at 8.8/16" just happens to work as well.

Remember, ARP historically targeted domestic cars and is based in Ventura CA. They keep the SAE tooling for the bolt heads/nuts even when the application is metric for the threads.

That's news to me...learn something new every day.

I took an ARP stud nut and tried a 9/16"...guess what, it fit and so did a 14mm (both 12 point of course).
