Been out of the supra game for a few years, and itching to get back. I have the opportunity to pick up an 89 in decent shape with a complete aristo 2jz vvti swap for very short money, the drawback being that it is stuck in "limp mode"
The swap is stock, I have heard nightmare stories about fights with limp mode, but my plan is to go AEM V2 before long anyway.
I have done some searching and the only thing that I can find that would cause limp mode is a bad / improperly calibrated tps. Does anyone have any info on what else would cause limp mode, or things I should look for when I go pick it up? Also it has a wiring harness by dr tweak, so I'd assume at first that the problem is not in the harness.
