Assuming you're talking about online brokerage??

Depends on what you need:

-Access to GOOD research?
-Cost per trade?
-Min amount per trade?
-Do they have a min numbers of trades you need to do per week/month?
-monthly/yearly fees?
-Do they charge extra for phone orders?

etc etc

^^These are some of the things I look at when choosing a broker for clients.

If you can buy in now, even just a small amount, it will benefit you later on when you can get into it a bit more, as your Dollar Cost Average (DCA) per stock will be lower :)

I actually just opened an Etrade account. Have not done anything with it yet, but I've wanted one since I was in elementary school, haha. But if Scott Trade is cheaper, I'm down :p

I'll look into everything a bit more and return with more info.

I've only heard good things about scott trade, several people from my work use it. It's only $7 a trade iirc. I like the fact that they have a local branch just a few minutes from me. I'm going to open an account this week myself there.
