I just recently had USPS lose a expensive package and had some questions i wanted to ask. The local branch doesnt seem like they want to help too much so if you work for usps please let me know

Did you have it insured over $500? (btw, if you hover over the thread title in the thread listings, it shows how much and what your package was). I know USPS packages are insured up to a certain amount then you have to pay extra for over that amount that your package is worth. Good luck.

well in the sellers ad all of his prices included shipping so i only paid him the ammount he wanted. At the time i forgot all about insurance and it turns out it was not insured and usps tells me that priority mail doesnt have any insurance on it at all unless you pay for it when you ship it.

i mean i paid with cc so i could call them up but i dont know if they would take money out of the sellers account or not. If they do i would feel like shit because the seller did nothing wrong so if that was the case i couldnt do that but ill see what my options are at the end of the week

You payed for an item, and never got it.

Not the sellers fault but i'd talk it over w/ them for not insuring a package that is known to be expensive.

yea the seller said he has shipped many packages with usps and they never lost a single one so he stopped putting insurance on them. either way at the end of the week i am hoping i can come to a resolution with the seller

Did you get a tracking number or delivery confirmation sticker put on the package at least you will know who had the package last.

yep i have the tracking number and the seller also got delivery confirmation as well so i actually have the serial id number of the person that scanned the package before dropping it off so now i have to wait for the post office to see which persons computer scanned it last
