Did anyone go to Hot Import Nights in Chicago on Saturday (3-31-07)?
I did. It was pretty good. They had about 8 mk4 Supras their and most were stock but about 3 were somewhat modified and tons of other imports. Hopefully next year I will enter my 87 Turbo Supra. Most were Hondas(of course) but their were tons Scion tC's. Also they had M.i.m.s. their. He was signing "This is why im hot" and a few other of his songs. That also was good.
One of the things they had their that I competed in was this thing by UTI. Their was two 4cylinder heads on a table and what you had to do was take all four spark plugs out put them on the table and put them back in the cylinderhead and which ever person did that that the fastest won. Me and one of my friends went because both have experience on working on cars so this was nothing new. My friend went first and he beat this other guy. I was laughing:biglaugh: because once my friend was done the other guy was barely putting his first spark plug in. Ok so im next, I look at the guy im going up against and I think to myself that I don’t have to worry. We started and he already gotten off to a slow start because once I was on my third spark plug he was still on his first(because he thought that he was taking it out but the socket was not even on the spark plug lol). So then I won. My time was 1min and 12sec. That was good time for a first try but then I was up against my friend. Both of us were up. I was ready and the thing was the winner of the 4 people got a pair of red and black Mechanix Golves and im like I really need those for when I work on my Supra so that even wanted me to win more lol. Ok so we both started both of us were on the same plug, that was until we put them back in. I was putting those plugs in like if that cylinderhead was my Supra and I really needed to get my car running:naughty:. So then he somewhat caught up and we were both on the last plug. I had mine going in straight but his was not and that what made him loose. My time then was 1min and 2sec, and im loving these Mechanix golves:love:.
Also on the UTI challenge, if you removed/ installed the plugs in less than 45sec, then you would get $100 but that’s too fast for me:biglaugh:. Who here thinks that you can you can remove 4 sparkplugs put them on a table and then install them in 45seconds or less?
Also here are some pictures. I did not have that many because my battery in my camera died:cry:.
I will be putting up some more but I have dial up internet and that is very slow.
