I was considering one cause my stock accordian tube has seen better days
but I wanted to see if anyone has one installed so I could get some feedback on it.
I can get a new one for $145 shipped. Is it worth it? Pros/Cons...

Nice bling factor and will never dry and crack like a stock one other than that I doubt any measurable diff. IF you have the $$ and everything else is
in order (vacuum hoses, water hoses, hard pipes etc) go for it.

I havent used one personally so take this with a grain of salt so to speak. From what i've read on the forums the gains are mostly cosmetic.

Also being a former domestic guy $145 for that pipe is a bit rediculious IMO, but thats what happens when hardly anyone makes aftermarket goodies for our cars.

I was thinking of making one from some aluminum piping and having someone weld some ports on it.

probly little to no power gain..

i wouldnt call it "cosmetic" though... it lasts alot longer without fear of cracks, boost leaks, etc.

its a great investment if you ask me.

and when i post pics of my old hose, you will understand.

Says 3" diameter so It should go good with my 3" gm maft...

I'm sure its mostly a cosmetic upgrade but as long as it doesnt flow worse than the stock I'll be happy...

How much is a stock accordian hose in the US?? Mine was £31 and shouldn't need replacing in the next 10 years.
