Just curious if anyone is running 18 psi on pump gas with a piggy back safc. I just got my car dailed in 14psi but peaking at 16.6. My cheap boost cntroller wouldnt let me turn up the boost even though I turned it up a few clicks while doing a street tune then when I got on the freeway to go home the stupid thing would boost 16psi. Well it would peak at it.. going to switch my mbc.

I want to run 18psi since im running water/meth I should be fine.

Anyone with a similar setup running 18 or more psi and if so what problems do you have or experience here and there.

My car runs pretty good havent had any headaches...

-greddy bov
-Fmic
-4inch - 2 1/4 dual exhaust
-3' intercooler pipes
-aeromotive 340 stealth (12v. mod)
-Hx35 turbo (new)
-Ssautochrome headers
-driftmotion 44mm wastegate

sorry for the OT, but got any pics of how your exhaust is set up? I was gonna do 4"- dual 2.25 or 2.5

Ill take some pics tomorrow. I have a sc 300 thats why im running dual exhaust . My mufflers are from a 2012 mustang gt. Sounds awsome not too loud or any drone at all..

And I only have a street tune no dyno tune. At 14psi which is what iam running now, im detonating at 4k ish rpm. So at that rpm my afr`s is @10. Other wise is I can hear detonation. My water/meth is kicking in at 10psi. The car pulls pretty good. My plugs are gapped to .27 new vpkugs bke7 watever. But yeah. I want more boost and really want 18psi for now. Ill post pics of the exhaust and my engine bay

2JZ here with a 67 trim running 15 on low 22 on high. Going to upgrade to a T70 when I get back from this contract. That is on 93 octane. No clue what numbers it is hitting because I still have to dial the AVCR in proper and tune the SAFC, but I have no problems with anything right now.

11.7. On pump at 22 psi. And 11.9 on 110 at 24 psi. That's in 3rd gear. 4th is a little richer. Like 11.4 and on 110 its about 11.7 at 24. And in 5th I get fuel cut at about 17psi. But no cut in any other gear with the sfac and no fuel cut defencer

I have a wideband, but to be honest, in my area, I have to worry about traffic more then anything. So I don't really get to see the gauge all that much. I am going to be doing alot more tuning the few days after I get home later this month and I can let you know then. I will have my friend riding with me and he is going to record some numbers so we can make any adjustments. IMO though, kind of stupid to go that far over stock psi and not use a wideband. That is just asking for trouble. I have no break up problems at all, and most of the time if I feel something it is usually just a small boost spike thanks to the POS AVCR ( used valve ) I have.

19psi daily and in high altitude. SAFC, 440cc, mk4 pump, 272 BC cams, about 11.5-11.9 at WOT...I must say that I could feel a lot of power being restricted with the safc, but it did fine and I could beat on it all day with no issues...also drove from WA to CO like that. Made 368rwhp at 15psi.
