It was discontinued a while ago but I was thinking just maybe there might be one in stock somewhere and you could do a check since you work parts at toyota! If anybody else knows how I might find one I would greatly appreciate it, I have a parts car but would rather buy one new, list on it is around $470.

He's gotten me a lot of supposed "discontinued" parts, it may take a while, but it has to come from japan...

It doesn't come up discontinued in my system, but sometimes things that show up discontinued in the USA/Japan, just aren't marked that way yet in Canada's system (until someone tries to order it).

I don't see any in old stock sitting anywhere. You'll just have to see if a dealer can order one and wait to see if Japan can supply. If it's marked obsolete in the USA system, it's done usually. But you could always see if Toyota Japan has any old stock, which is harder since you probably don't speak Japanese, but you can contact someone who can contact a Toyota dealer in Japan with part number 53701-14935 and check if they can still get it.

I've checked with Mustang Restorations up here in BC, Canada before when I needed Japanese-market parts. They got back to me pretty quick, but since you're in the States, you'll probably want to check with someone down there, since you'll probably not want to pay for shipping internationally twice, etc.
