Is Aaron Lewis still singing about how much pain he's in, and how much the world has forsaken him? If so, I'll stay tuned out. I bought two of their albums, enjoyed them a little, and then fell out of it.
It just seems like it's the same old repetitive thing we're hearing today.
In the 80's, men wanted to be more macho, but women wanted men to be more sensitive. In the 90's, men were more sensitive, to the point of some turning gay and girly, and now women want a sensitive yet still manly man. Here, past the year 2000, we have Aaron Lewis and a slew of other guys who sing about how hurt they are, but they scream AND sing about it, using a regular, nice singing voice, and then switching to a gutteral tone. I guess this is supposed to be sensitive and manly somehow.

-but if you enjoy the album, more power to you.

..so much for "the strong, silent type".

Yea Staind fans will not be dissappointed in this album and those of you who liked his other stuff and just started to not like his previous albums I think will like this album too. This album isn't a very "hard" album unlike his other ones but he does throw a lot of good lyrics together in this one, check it out....

yeah..unless it's like the first album..and all the songs resemble mudshovel.. the stuff they were doing before the slow soggy emo shit got them famous..then i won't like it..

I liked them better when they were hard. To be honest, I bought 13 shades of grey just because it was Staind and I figured it had to be good. I was dissappointed. They used to have music with energy, not just feeling. I still listen to the new stuff, but it's just not Staind to me. I haven't checked out the new one yet, and I probably won't until someone lends it to me.

Ok so wednesday i saw Staind, Breaking Benjamin and 3 doors down in concert

My faith in Staind has been renewed.. most of there set was from dysfunction! they even finished off with the most intense version of Mudshovel ever!!! IT WAS GREAT!

Breaking Benjamin really made my night tho.. they rock so well..

then 3 doors down the supposed "headliner" of the tour came on...

needless to say after hearing mudshovel by staind, then hearing Kryptonite by 3 doors down.. we left shortly.. right in the middle of some stupid freakin song about blue jeans and wife beaters and other stupid 3 doors down shit...

but for anybody who likes staind, or breakin benjamin def check this tour out when it comes your way..they both do pretty decent sized sets.... and the stage show for Staind is amazing!!!

I really liked there first few albums. Their last one I liked at first but then everybody and there dog played the songs over and over and totally killed that album for me. This one I don't really care for. I've listened to it several time and read all the lyrics but it just sounds like the keep singing the same three songs over and over again.

i saw staind live once.... together with adema, alien ant farm and linkin park.

unfortunately they sucked ass. it was pretty boring. i like some of their songs but that live show sucked. adema and linkin park were awesome tho.
