I have a stock 2jz on stock ecu and I want to run either a S360 or s362. Any feed back on how they respond on a 2j would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, we use them all the time. What kind of questions or concerns did you have exactly?

You suggested the s360, but my buddy suggested the s362. So now I can't decide. Was just hoping to get some more input to help me decide. I gonna go bw for sure just need to decide which one.

The 362 has a billet wheel. Both are journal bearing. 360 has steel wheel.

362 would prolly be the better bet with a 2jz.

No the s362 has a fmw wheel. Fmw = forged milled wheel. Aka billet.

The standard sx300 series come in s360 which is a 60mm, s363 which is a 63mm and a s366 which is a 66mm.

currently doing a 2jz swap using a cast manifold, power goals will be 450-500 max. I was leaning on the s360 but i didn't know the s362 brought a billet wheel. on the 1j at what rpm do you hit full boost?

I am looking to buy some 550's, safc, and a s360. I don't think I can go wrong with either turbo, but I'm leaning towards the s360 for quicker spool. I'm not looking for a lot of top end speed. Nice sporty daily driver is all.

Don't mean to thread jack, But I've been busting my brain trying to decide on my next turbo. My final two choices are the s362 fmw or s366 with a quick spool valve for my 1jz. Shooting for minimum 600 whp with the ability for 700+ whp in the future. I know the s366 will do it, but will the s362 fmw? I'd rather get the s362 fmw if it spools faster than a s366 on a qsv.

Have you considered a S363 with a QSV? You wont have to pay for the billet wheel and you can use with your QSV. The S363 is capable of doing mid 700's with your displacement. We have used this turbo in a twin-scroll configuration on the 1JZ with very good results.

What mods do you have on your 1j?

I was looking at that turbo as well. I don't have a qsv yet. How was the spool up with the twin scroll setup?

Haha that's what I'm trying to do! I wanna push the limits of the 1j. You and me both I've been building it for a few years now. I'm thinking about the s363 or the s366 now
