Ya i had my garrett t3/t4 set up for water lines. I figured the ports on the motor are there so why not?? Heres some pics

the top is the oil feed and the side one is the water feed

Even with a non BB turbo, water cooling is beneficial. The hotter the exhaust side of the turbo gets, the more likely it is you will get coking of the motor oil trapped in the center section when the heat soaks into the bearings.

After this happens a few times, burnt up oil and crud clog the center section and reduce the supply of oil when the engine is started. This causes rapid bearing wear and eventual bearing failure.

Even small particles of burnt oil will build up over time and lead to coking and bearing failure.

Hook the lines up - a cool center section is a good thing.

The might be plugged guys... found a cartridge the other day from Garrett, that had freeze plugs where the water ports were.

Also, ALOT OF MITSUBISHI carts use freeze plugs to block off water ports.
