alternator wire help asap please!!!!

i am attempting to replace the alt wire in the fusebox in the engine bay
, is there anything im missing cause the wire just broke when i pulled on it

pictures would help. Can you solder it back together? Or use a crimp connector?

did you unbolt it or just pull it out?

edit: thinking about it, I'm not for sure that one is bolted. The fusible links are. I'd have to check to be sure.

This reminds me I should really replace a few of my main power wires. Old brittle wiring is no good.

I don't know if I'd try to solder the alt wire back together. Just get a new section of large gauge wire and crimp on new connectors.

ok i figured it out, the wire is bolted down lol
i feel like such a noob lol
after pulling on the wire connectors for like 20 min and having the wire itself fall apart in my hand i decided to unbolt the fusebox and remove that section for closer inspection, what i found were two 10mm bolts, i took them out and the connectors came right out, i made myself a new wire using some 10 gauge wire and some female spade connectors (which had to be pressed flat and drilled into to work)
the slots that the connectors had to fit through were pretty tight so i drilled them out just enough to sit the connectors through, bolted everything back up and she fired right up
