Hello!

Yesterday i went by the shop that is doing some mechanical work on my head and i noticed that they had put all head internals ( valves, springs and such) in the same basket, so everything was mixed togheter.

I asked them why they didn't put each one in a seperate cup or something and they told me it dont mather?
will this cause problems for me later? as when i looked on the guide it seems like everybody is putting each valve things in a seperate cup

I'm i being stupid or the shop really retarded?

I personally keep them seperate if I am not grinfing the valves/seats.
But if those items are being freshened up, then it really doesn't make a difference.

As long as everything is in spec, it will all work out fine. Readjusting shims can be a pain though. Measure your shims with a caliper, assemble, do your clearance measurements, and theoretically you should still have the proper shims assuming it was in spec before the tear down.
