Switched out my broken door handle for the one off my burned car. I'm now having an issue with the alarm not disarming however it will arm fine. My question is, what specifically should I be looking for here for next time i take off the door panel, i only remember removing the one switch for the dome lights and the key lock. Is it on the key lock somewhere?

You can arm using the key on the outside of the door?

There is a trigger attached to the door handle - plastic cap with wires coming out. This tells the computer that you've locked/unlocked the door with the key.

First... is this cap in place? If not then attach it.

If the cap is in place then your contacts may be dirty. Take the cap off (carefully) and you will see a small circle inside - this turns when your key turns in the lock. Carefully pull this out and clean the contacts you will find inside.

Your wires could also be cut.

^yes i can ARM it just not disarm it. I do not recall any wiring attatched to the handle itself, mounted on the handle yes there is. It worked fine on the old handle so maybe i knocked a wire loose or something

I seem to have this issue as well, but mine is intermittent, however it always works on the passenger side. Must be dirty contacts :biglaugh:
