I'm thinking of doing an aftermarket tach. I have been having no luck with the stocker. The first one I got would get stuck between 3000 and 5000 rpm. the next cluster I got the tach progressively reads lower rpm then what the car is doing. 3000 rpm the tach is reading 800 rpm lower then it should 4000 rpm -1100 rpm lower etc.
So basically wanna just do an aftermarket with the shift light as I can't keep spending money on used clusters that don't work.
where would be best to mount and best size. I have a pillar pod and would like to keep it on the left side but hoping not to crowded there. otherwise I guess right side but honestly would like to keep guages together.
Would like to see people's aftermarket setups.
On a side note I really don't wanna do this, would rather just have the stock with an aftermarket shift light but sick of getting useless tach that don't work.
