So I was coming home from a gig tonight... drove about 70 miles (according to my odometer that is 10ish % off, so really maybe 60 - 65 miles) and didn't get on it TOO much
Anyway, it had snowed at my house while I was gone, and right before I got to my driveway I decided to do a brake check
and stomped on the brakes to see if the road was iced and/or if I could get her to skid. Instead, to my surprise, I got about 4 or 5 pulses from the ABS, and then the engine died.
This is the first time something like this has happened... I've had to engage the ABS system before but didn't experience any problems. I didn't check codes yet, since it was 4:30am when it happened and damn cold and dark outside - I'll check them when I get up tomorrow and update this with the results...
Has anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas on what could have caused it, or where I should start my investigation? My gut reaction is to think that it's an electrical issue, based on the fact that my car has some issues in the electrical system, but then again, I'll be the first to admit that I'm quite often completely wrong
TIA for your input guys!
