i had checked it last month but i can check it again. also, whilst i was at the garage i removed the 2 relays from the abs actuater and i took them home to check them. after removing them i started the car up and checked for aditional codes but non were present. bar the code 11 and 13.

i wonder if it could be that the abs computer is unplugged. im sure it will be though unless someone at the garage has been having a fiddle. the glove box hasnt yet been refitted as i had to swap the abs computer over.

right ive just been to investigate this problem further.

I found a missing wire on the grey plug. but only on the pump side. the loom side has a wire which goes to the abs computer. it is a blue wire with a white stripe and brown dots. this goes into the bigger of the 2 plugs and is underneath the srr wire and next to the sr wire. on the old abs pump there is a wire there. I guess i should go and strip the old unit as best i can to find out where it goes to.

I also got some anomaly's (sp) on the checks with the abs computer removed:-

sfl - ast i should have resistance of 1k ohms but i got 0.06
sfr - ast was the same
srr - ast again the same reading.

everything else checked out fine

car is an 87 model btw

ok i think i may have found the problem. theres differences between the wiring on my car and the new pump which came from a facelift model. basically the wiring loom in the car has 6 wires going to the grey multi plug. the new pump has only 5. The old pump has 6 wires and the missing one goes upto one of the big cylindrical things. The wiring diagram shows no reference to this wire either
