Dub: Are you 100% sure on this? :D
(it'll save me making a mess if you are but I need to be sure as the filter I"m using has antidrainback and I can't rearrange the hose once cut)

CRS?

LOL logic tells me the front one should be it being close to the convertor but it's bolted to a 7M so I wanted to check ;)

Looks like I'll fill it and pull the hose and crank it a bit.

I'm using a normal remote adaptor with a z89 shorty mounted behind the rear bumper for easy mess free access (don't even have to jack it up)

I figure with the Pan filter I don't need a whole lot of extra filter to be safe.

Thanks for looking!

CRS = "Can't Remember Sh*t"

I know it's the forward one...I routed from there, to the filter, to the cooler, back to the tranny. I flushed the tranny once already and I removed the hose between the filter and cooler...pumped it right out of the hose to the pan.

That Trasko is a by-pass filter, it only pulls off a small amount of ATF at a time and filters it down to the 1 micron level. Since most of the fluid is by-passed, there is very little (if any) pressure drop. Works really well...the pan filter gets the big stuff, this one gets the rest. With tranny fluid, the filters will go 10K easy before you have to replace ;)

Dub: Glad I did ;)
(The 340 has an over pressure bypass in case the cooler is blocked but I would have been scratching my head why it was running so hot)

Interesting warning on the Toyota Type I-V Oil can "Prolonged contact with skin causes cancer in animals" :)

You're not soaking your feet in that stuff are ya ;)

Yeah, the A340 doesn't like to run hot...post pics of the plumbing when you get a chance.

I filled the torque converter with almost 1.5 qts iirc.
5 more after it was installed...ran and added as required to cold level. Took more over the next few days when checked hot.

That's true...forgot your ran those lines all the way to the rear!
All the air needs to work itself out too...takes a few days.

When I added the filter, it took an additional 3/4 quart too ;)

I bought 10 metres of hose so just made it ;)

I figure the rest of the system will bleed up fairly quickly and the cooler circuit might take a few days but my driveway is steep so if needs be I'll leave it idle there.
