a friend gave me a autometer A/F guage and im not sure how to wire it up as far as where should i hook up the signal wire to????

Should look into a wide band.
Narrowband a/f gauge is not going to be very accurate most of the time.

All your going to know with a narrow band is your rich or lean. You wont know by how much on either end. They were never designed to read that much into it. Wideband setups are relatively inexpensive and will actually give you a reading of what your at.
