A/C swap q

I'm going to setup the A/C in my 1JZ swap using the 7M lines / 1JZ compressor technique.

One thing I could not find when looking this up was if I will have to recover the R-12 in the system prior to doing the swap or will it leak out when I swap pumps.

The 7m lines w/ a stock 1jz intercooler is a pita.. requres either moving the fmic or bending the a/c line out of the way.. cause they both want to run in the same spot

I've never worked with A/C systems before and taking it to a shop is a bit of a problem. What do I need to do the recovery process?
