I have been trying to replace my pass side inner tie rod for about a month. I ordered a Beck and Larney replacement part, dissassembled the tie rod (I also bought new outer tie rods) and tried to install the new parts starting with the inner rod. No luck, the large brass nut that holds the tie rod to the rack, does not thread onto the new part. So I install the old one with the new outter rod.
I order a new brass nut from Toyota, receive the nut. It doesn't fit on the tie rod either (same as before, it binds after a 90 degree turn).
So I order a spicer inner tie rod. Receive it, nut doesn't fit. Exactly the same as previous part.
Does anyone know if there is some magic here or what the issue may be?
