7mgte Timing: Correct me if I'm wrong.

So this is my 1st time doing this. Correct me if I am wrong.

1. Remove Cam Position Sensor.

2. Adjust your crank and cam shafts. Crank shaft should be marked at 0 degree or TDC. Use a screwdriver to monitor movement.

3. Put the timing belt back on. (=

4. Adjust cam position sensor according to the inner grove.

What is wrong? Engine timing is wrong? If the engine timing is wrong, the cam position sensor doesn't need to come out until the engine timing is correct.

ok so I did do the timing first, then I did not start the car. 2nd step I did was adjust the cam position sensor according according to the TSRM. I'm going to be checking it with the timing light soon.
